We are quite late with getting the 4th and 5th chodeshim posted to this website. This was in part due to The Disciples Table launching the next part of Yom 4, Part 3 – Two Great Lights.
​
The ninth day of the fourth chodesh/month was a very important date.
The sun and the moon have progressed over time because of the
equinoxes. In 587BC this chodesh was the 4th chodesh. We highlighted
the 9th day on the above excel table to show when King Nebuchadnezzar
besieged Jerusalem. It would have fallen under the sign of the Crab then.
In 2024 the sign of The Crab marks the 5th chodesh. We thought it might
be interesting, especially in light that we are late in this posting to give
you some highlights as what occurred on July 23rd this year on the 9th day
in the chodesh of the Crab.

During the evening hours of July 15, a well-organized and long-lived complex of thunderstorms (officially classified as a derecho) rolled across Iowa, Illinois, and parts of Indiana. Widespread damaging winds of 60 to locally 100 mph were observed within the line, especially from eastern Iowa through northern and central Illinois. In addition, at least 27 occurred in the NWS Chicago County Warning Area.
