However, after completing "The Flood" we discovered that there were lights in the heavens that dictated the periods of time for each chodesh to begin. Thus, here is the timeline for the second chodesh this year based on the stars themselves.
It appears that the sun left the gates of the Fishes by observing the sun's passing by the star Alpherg. The traditional name Al Pherg is from the Arabic تدفق المياه (Al Fargh) which means an outpouring of water. The Babylonian name was Kullat Nunu. Nunu, meaning fish. Kullat, meaning bucket or cord to which the fish were tied.
Alpherg is the brightest star in the constellation of the Fishes, about 457 times brighter than our sun. It is also bigger and more massive than our sun.
Depending on where you live and what timeline you think is right, there is no question that the penumbral lunar eclipse on May 5th (in some time zones this event falls on May 6th) that the 17th day of the 2nd chodesh is at play here, and is in the sign of The Scales. Why is this important? Because on the 17th day of the second chodesh in the days of Noach He shut the door. True that was in the civil year.
