The 1st Day of the 12th Chodesh -2023

We will be capturing the first second that the sun enters into each of the signs this year. We will be using either Starry Night Pro software or Stellarium. Sometimes the two software programs do not agree. In fact, depending on which day we do our research we have found the time given might vary from day to day by a second or two. This is why it is recommended to trust and then verify all information one can find. We will do our best to update any changes that we discover.

While the sun is actually entering the sign of the Water Bearer on the evening of the 16th, scripture tells us to blow the shofar in the or towards the rosh (first/head) of the chodesh. Therefore the "day" will be February 17th, 2023 this year.
